The Emotional Distress/Tolerance group therapy program supports individuals in developing skills to manage intense emotions and challenging situations without becoming overwhelmed. The group provides a safe and understanding environment where participants can learn practical techniques to tolerate distress, reduce impulsive reactions, and respond to emotional pain with greater balance.
Sessions draw from mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioural approaches, encouraging participants to recognise emotional patterns and practice new responses in a supportive setting. The program aims to foster self-awareness, emotional stability, and resilience when facing life’s difficulties.
